Katherine Bennett Husted (Rona Lisa Peretti) is so incredibly excited to be on The Carriage House stage for the first time in this wonderful show. Some of her favorite past roles include Hairspray (Tracy Turnblad), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator), Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel), and Cats (Grizabella). Katherine is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She’d like to thank her best friend and husband, Jeff, and her greatest supporter - her mom, Michele. Enjoy the show!

 

Brett Burton (Douglas Panch) is excited about his first production with Studio Players. Before moving to central Kentucky, Brett has performed many roles with the Madisonville Community Theatre. His previous performances include Grease (Roger), My Fair Lady(Zoltan Karpathy), Lil’ Abner (Sen. Jack S. Phogbound), Guys and Dolls (Bro. Arvide), The Music Man (Marcellus), Oklahoma (Jud Fry), Annie (Daddy Warbucks), Fiddler on the Roof (Tevye), and Sweeney Todd (Sweeney). Brett also has several credits as a director and music director.

Jonathan Adkins (Leaf Coneybear) is excited to make his Studio Players debut as Leaf Coneybear. His first role was Santa Claus in his fourth grade musical, but he truly discovered his love for musical theatre his sixth grade year when he played a Munchkin and a Flying Monkey in The Wizard of Oz. Other roles include Seussical Jr. (Gary McFuzz), Play On! (Billy Carwe), and Cinderella (The Prince). He is thrilled to break into the world of community theatre and plans to audition for more Studio Players shows. 
 

Jordan Durham (Mitch Mahoney) grew up in Paris, Kentucky and later moved to Lexington. While in high school, he participated in the 2013 and 2014 Kentucky All-State Choirs. Jordan is a junior at EKU majoring in Music Industry.  He sings baritone and is a soloist with EKU’s small mixed vocal ensemble, EKos. Jordan also sings with EKU's University Singers and Chamber Singers, both auditioned choral ensembles. Jordan made the Dean's List while being an active member of the music fraternity, Phi Mu Alpha, and the service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega. Jordan won the Artist division of the Kentucky Music Teachers Association competition. 

 

Rebecca Keith (Olive Ostrovsky) is excited to be spending her second summer at Studio Players. She made her Studio debut last summer as Miss Scarlet in Clue: The Musical.  Rebecca is a 2015 Transylvania University graduate with a degree in vocal performance. She has performed in various productions and concerts throughout the area, and has loved every minute! Previous credits include The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy), Pippin (Catherine), Spring Awakening (Wendla), American Idiot (Whatsername), Into the Woods (Rapunzel), and Golden Boy of the Blue Ridge (Nellie), among others. She would like to thank the cast, production team, and everyone else who helped to make this show possible. 

Je’shaun Jackson (William Barfeé) has been involved in theater since the age of 5, starting with vocal and dance lessons.  His first show at age 10 was Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, in which he played Mr. Salt. From that point on, he knew this is what he wanted to do. Je’shaun is so excited to be in his first ever Studio Players production and can't wait to be involved in more.

Sydney Johnson (Logainne Schwartzandgrubinierre) is excited for her first production with Studio Players. She has been involved in several productions in the past including Shrek! The Musical (Fiona), Oklahoma! (Ado Annie), and Steel Magnolias (Annelle). Sydney is a junior at WKU majoring in theatre.  She is heading to Florida at the end of the summer for her second Disney College Program in the Entertainment department.

 

Lydia Robison (Marcy Park) is very excited to be performing in her first show at Studio Players! She is involved with the drama program and the a capella group, Take Two, at Tates Creek High School.  Previous roles include Shrek! the Musical (Fiona),Footloose (Ethel) and The Three Musketeers (Sabine). She would like to thank her family for their endless support.

Matt Hook (Chip Tolentino) recently moved to Lexington from Indiana and is ecstatic to appear in his first Studio Players production. Favorite roles/performances include For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls (Lawrence), A Flea in Her Ear (Chandebise / Poche), Bat Boy: the Musical (Ensemble), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Demetrius), and Young Frankenstein: the Musical (The Monster).

Jacob Bellis (Schwartzy Dad/Ensemble) is thrilled to be making his Studio Players debut. An incoming junior, Jacob is majoring in Theatre at SCAPA/Lafayette. Previous credits include SCAPA/Lafayette's The Drowsy Chaperone (Underling) and Lafayette's Peter and the Starcatcher (Prentiss).

Forrest Loeffler (Jesus/Ensemble) is beside himself to be joining Studio Players for the first time on stage and for it to be with such a side-splitting show as the mouthful that is The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.  Most recently, you may have seen him as Cliff in 3 from the Bluegrass at BCTC, or if musicals are more your style, you may have spotted him in A Christmas Carol with the REP this past winter. He would like to give a mighty thank you to everyone here tonight for supporting local theatre and making this show possible.

Eric Seale (Director) is serving in his first season as the Artistic Managing Director for Central Kentucky Theatre in Springfield. His directing credits include Drinking Habits (Pioneer Playhouse); What Would Jesus Pack?, True West (Studio Players); The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity, Gone Astray, and Pillowman (Actors Guild) among many others. He most recently appeared on the Studio stage as Damocles Cole in Whodunnit Darling? Eric is the executive producer for UK's Women Writer's Conference Playwrighting competition and will produce and direct this year’s winner in November then return to Studio to direct Stage Kiss by Sarah Ruhl next spring.

Caleb Ritchie (Musical Director) is an accompanist in Lexington Kentucky. He's excited to be working on his second show with Studio Players in his first show as Musical Director.  Selected productions he's played include: The Wizard of Oz, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Dreamgirls, My Fair Lady, and Cabaret.
 

Jessica Greene (Vocal Director), receiving her bachelor’s degree in vocal music education from Berea College, her Masters in choral conducting from Eastern Kentucky University and Specialist in Education Certification from the University of Kentucky, Jessica is an arts educator with a passion for arts curriculum who dabbles in theatre in her spare time.  She has been active in the Lexington theatre scene both on stage and as a producer and musical director with theatres such as Kentucky Conservatory Theatre, EKU, Berea College and The Rep. This is Jessica’s eighth musical with Studio Players where she serves on the board as the past-president.
 

Diana Evans Pulliam (Choreographer) is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a BA in Education and a Theatre emphasis. Diana has studied with some of the icons of the dance world, and has performed in regional theatre, ballet companies, and national and regional television. She has played a role in the dance and theatre education of thousands of young people in Central Kentucky, many of whom have gone on to professional careers in the performing arts. Her Musical Theatre repertoire includes more than 48 musicals. Central Kentucky credits include Studio Players, Actors Guild, The Shakespeare Festival, Woodford Theatre, Paragon Music Theatre, Kentucky Conservatory Theatre and The School of the Creative and Performing Arts. 

Kathryn Velonis (Stage Manager) has performed and stage managed with many regional theatres, including Actors Guild, Studio Players, Woodford Theatre, and KCT/Summerfest. Previously stage managed shows include William Shakespeare's Land of the Dead, King Lear, What Would Jesus Pack?, and The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity. Favorite acting credits include Other Hands(Lydia), And Then There Were None (Vera Claythorne), and Wonder of the World (The Sextuplets). This is Kathryn's fifth show with Studio Players.
